DIRECTIONS

From Dartmouth, follow Braemar Drive / Waverley Road north and turn left onto Locks 
Road to reach the Fairbanks Centre parking lot.  To reach the campground parking lot, 
continue north and turn left on John Brenton drive.

DESCRIPTION

The trails in Shubie Park meander through a natural forest setting along the historic
Shubenacadie Canal.  A crushed stone surface makes most of the trails wheelchair 
accessible.  The park offers camping facilities with washrooms and showers, a playground,
ballfield and supervised beach.  The Fairbanks Centre on Locks Road is an interpretation
centre where maps of the area and information on the history of the Shubenacadie Canal 
are available. There are also interpretive panels along the canal, at the locks.

This is a great park for a run, and is popular for dog-walking. Please remember to keep
your dog on a leash, and pick up after it!

The Dartmouth Multi-Use Trail links the Shubie Park trails with Sullivans Pond.
