DESCRIPTION
This trail begins at the floating bridge which is accessible from the Mill Falls
Trail. It is set on a glacially formed hill (drumlin). Several orchids can be
found on this trail, including Lady Slipper, Rattlesnake Plaintain, Spotted
Coral Root and many different mushrooms.
The trail passes through a stand of Beech and mixed hardwoods and down into a
Hemlock grove. This is a great family trail with a beautiful view of Mill Falls.
An interpretive cassette and player can be obtained from the Visitor Centre to
bring along on the trail.
Kejimkujik is a National Park. Phone the park Visitor Centre at (902) 682-2772
for back-country maps, reservations (for regular and back-country sites),
information on park regulations, and any additional information. Those
intending to camp at a back-country site must first register at the park Visitor
Centre.
