DESCRIPTION
This short family trail starts either at the visitor reception center or
further down at the Mill Falls parking lot. It is easy to walk on the graveled
surface, however it is only wheelchair accessible as far as the falls. The first
part of the trail (coming from the visitor center) has interpretive signs.
There is a wide variety of ferns along the trail and forest cover includes
hemlocks and red maple along the river. Wild flowers can be seen during the
spring. At the falls, there is a lookoff point and just past there is a picnic
shelter with sundeck, tables, and water. There are also benches along the
trail.
Kejimkujik is a National Park. Phone the park Visitor Centre at (902) 682-2772
for back-country maps, reservations (for regular and back-country sites),
information on park regulations, and any additional information.
Those intending to camp at a back-country site must first register at the park
Visitor Centre.
