DESCRIPTION
The Kentville Ravine Trail is also known locally as the Kentville Research
Station. The trail will take about 2 hours to complete and offers a great
opportunity to see some large old growth Hemlock trees. The ravine is home to
a variety of wildlife. Look for bullfrogs and tadpoles along the water's edge.
The trail travels through the ravine with high walls on either side of your
route. Take time to explore the brook along the trail. This lush area is
perfect for a variety of ferns and mosses. There is fresh water available at
the site along with a pay phone, a picnic area, and flush toilets. Kentville
and New Minas are located nearby offering restaurants, lodging, and shopping.
