DESCRIPTION

This area was once inhabited by Acadian settlers. As you walk along, watch for
old fields, building foundations, stone walls and other signs of the past. The
forest here is softwood and, in places, may be extremely dense giving the trail
a tunnel like feeling. Look for hawks as well as their prey as shrews and
moles are common along the trail. This is an interpretive trail.

Within the park, there is a bookstore, washrooms, picnic areas, parking, camping
and pay phones. Near to the park are motels, other campgrounds, banks, gas
stations, restaurants, a liquor store, and a general store.
