DESCRIPTION

This is a nice steady hike that climbs along a well worn path. It climbs uphill
through mainly hardwood trees (large Birch and Beech) and some very large fern.
At 500 metres there is a bench along the way; an opportunity to rest
weary feet. You reach the look off at 850 metres. It is a very large rock which
allows one to take in a breathtaking view of the Bras d'Or Lakes. You may even
see an eagle, so birdwatchers may wish to take their binoculars.

After you travel down the trail you can rest at the park where there is a
picnic area, washrooms, and a water source. This is a provincial park and
camping is prohibited.
